Your Questions Answered
Explore answers to common estate cleanout questions.
What is included in a cleanout?
Having questions about estate cleanouts is completely normal. Whether you want to know about what we can take, how the process works, or specific timelines, we’ve got you covered.
Our friendly team is just a call away and ready to clarify any details you might be wondering about. We aim to make this process as smooth as possible for you.
How long does the process take?
It’s important to us that you understand what to expect. While remnants of a small home and estate may take a couple hours, larger cleanouts can be multiple dumpsters and truck loads of donations.
Our services include full estate cleanouts, and we’ll handle everything from start to finish.
If you’re not sure about something, feel free to reach out and ask—your peace of mind is our priority.
What items do you not take?
For estate cleanouts, we try to handle it all. While chemicals, paint, and surprise stashes of concrete and tires may be additional fees, we have multiple disposable options available.
Feel free to check in with us about all your options!
Do you offer dumpster rentals?
We’re ready to roll up our sleeves and tackle even the messiest jobs, but estates can often include lots of items that need to be sorted and some kept. We can provide dumpster rental, with some guidance of what materials can be included and what must be kept separate.
How do I prepare for a cleanout?
Once family or friends have done an initial review of the estate, it’s important to identify what items need to remain with the property. Before even beginning a cleanout, we suggest marking all items to keep with blue painters tape, or isolating them to one area.
Can I get a quote over the phone?
Because every estate differs, we are not able to quote estate cleanouts over the phone. An in-person visit, along with discussion of what the expectations are, and what will be sorted before the cleanout is necessary. Furthermore, we suggest all heirs involved with what to keep and what to let go be present at some point before or at the start of the cleanout.
What should I do with my unwanted items?
Any sorting before hand is beneficial. More importantly, though is what you want to keep. If items are removed and loaded into a dumpster, or possibly broken, important or sentimental can’t be recovered. Preparation is key, in marking or sorting items to keep, and all efforts will be made to ensure clear communication before the job begins.
